Seek The Truth In Jesus Christ and Leave Satan’s World Behind
This is a quote from the article “The Free Will Of Man”, where it says, “Man can choose to do right or wrong, such as, what to eat, how to dress, what to say, where to go, how to live and what or who to worship”.
When one chooses to accept Jesus Christ with their heart, they’re looking to change their life. They new something was missing and now they have found it. Their life suddenly has meaning and they want to follow Jesus and do what it takes to walk with Him. The main thing is to learn how to change one’s life so they can be pleasing to God in His eyes. When we have that one on one relationship with Jesus, He begins to show us what we need to do to overcome sin in our life.
We follow Him down that long and narrow road with our cross on our shoulder seeking truth. Once you reach a certain point in your walk with Jesus, He will, just as He says in John 14: 15 – 17, ‘ If you love me you will keep my commandments. I shall ask the Father, and He shall give you another Advocate to be with you forever, that Spirit of truth whom the world can never receive since it neither sees nor knows Him; but you know Him, because He is with you, He is in you.
This is the transformation from carnal to spiritual. Your spiritual eyes open and suddenly you see the world in a whole new outlook. This is the new creation (one’s true identity) that Paul talks about. You are reborn and now you are a little child ready to grow into a mature, spiritual adult.
Seeing the world through spiritual eyes you know that this is not God’s world or the world that He meant it to be. You see Satan’s world, man’s world, madness, insanity and you realize that this not the reality of God. What one begins to see and know is truth, something that the world cannot see or understand.
The one thing about carnal ( man’s false identity ), is that that is all it sees and knows. It wants to live for the world, by the world and for itself. Man lives as a slave to the world. You could actually call this kind of living “Self-destruction”. Most will never get to know their spiritual side while living in the world.
The carnal self seeks the things of the world which are only temporary. It seeks happiness in the world and the happiness it finds is only temporary. Man has to keep finding ways to amuse himself over and over again, even in his thoughts. He might think back of a vacation he once went on or just daydream about something pleasant. There is no lasting happiness or peace in this world. Aman that is a slave of the world is doomed, it is self-destrustion.
We normally don’t take the things of the world and analize them, for example: Going out to dinner. We like to go out to dinner, but how can we turn this into a bad thing? Let’s say we planned this a couple of days in advance and we’re really looking forward to going out.
So, first of all, what caused you to decide to go out to dinner in the first place? Do you need a little enjoyment? Was it boredom? A T.V. commercial that’s running a special on one of your favorite foods? Could be we hunger for a certain food to please out taste buds? It doesn’t matter what triggered it, but this is what you would call the start of a carnal high being born.
Up until the time you make it to the restaurant, you find yourself thinking about the time you are going to have and the food you are going to eat. Some of us can’t wait to get to the restaurant. One thinks about what they’re going to order and pictures themselves eating the dinner they ordered. Sometimes to the point where you can almost taste the food. As one thinks about these things, it put us in a happy mood.
Finally you make it to the restaurant, you grab a menu and now it is time to make a decision. Oh boy, everything looks so good on here, I wish I could order it all. You place your order and in a little while out comes the dinner that you been thinking about for days. You start to eat and you savor the flavor of every bite. Now your done and you leave the restaurant. While your on the way home your talking to your company about what a great dinner that was. The next day comes and that dinner you had comes to mind and you smile and think about it all over again.
I’m not saying that it is a sin to go out to dinner, but what I am saying is that sin can be born from it. Pride (self) is the mother of all sin. What I gave as an example was is what you call lust. Pride gave birth to lust and lust grew and became self-indulgence. You use this word all the time in commercials and at restaurants, mainly when they advertise a dessert. They say something like, “We have a quadruple chocolate cheese cake, so come and indulge yourself”.
One can lose their sobriety and become drunk with lust in many different ways. This is basically what the bible talks about when they use the words sober and drunk. Sober in other words meaning temperance, moderation. Drunk on the other hand meaning that one over indulged, acquired too much…
Humility is the key to overcoming pride. Pride is when one puts oneself first, this is Satan’s world and man’s world. Humility is when one puts God first, then others and to be honest with you, one that is humble doesn’t usually think about themselves at all.
Jesus is here for us, He wants to help us make that union with God again. But it’s going to take everything we have to fight and overcome ourselves and the darkness that lies within us. Jesus is the Light, the Way, the Truth and Life. It’s up to us to have the desire, the willingness, the courage, the faith and the ability to put our trust in Jesus Christ, Our Savior, Our Big Brother and Our Best Friend. We have to have faith and trust in Him without any worries, fears or doubts. Are you ready to pick up your Cross and follow Him all the way back to God?

Teachers and Preachers – Who Are These People?
There is just way to much to learn that man cannot teach you. People have lots of questions like, “Who is God”, What is “spiritual healing”, “What is communicating with God”, “Why was Jesus crucified”, “Who is the Holy Spirit”, or “What does God look like”? Have you answered questions like these yourself by seeking truth, or does someone answer them for you?
This time period that we are living in, we have to be extra careful. There are many preachers and teachers that do not teach Truth, nor do they know what Truth is. You may think that what they teach and preach is true, but really, how do you know? Can they give you a good reason why you should believe what they teach like, the works of their faith for instance?
How do you know that the Bible is true? Have you proven it by working the scriptures? Why do you believe what you read, or what other people tell you? Could it be because they have a title like, pastor, priest, reverend, a member of the clergy, or teacher? Could be because they are in a building called a “church”, where they teach the Bible and preach sermons. Some pastors have a book that they can take a sermon from which relieves them from having to prepare one.
I have heard some things come out of teachers and preachers mouthes that just totally blew me away. Always seek the truth in what you hear, that way you’re not being led down the wrong path. Jesus always gives you a confirmation (and usually more than one) for what He teaches you. Everyone is responsible for their own salvation. Don’t just listen to people that teach and preach because they tickle your ears and say what you want to hear.
How does one find a place to worship God, to hear Truth and fellowship with genuine people that want nothing more than to follow Jesus? A church should be a place of respect to God. A place where you leave the world outside. After all, who can you help by talking about sports, recipes or anything that doesn’t pertain to spirituallity?
The Sanctuary of a church should be made and kept Holy. So much so that God’s presence will always be there. God can be found in silence, not in noise. The Sanctuary should not be a gathering place for chitter-chatter, banquets and other like occassions. There is nothing like the warm feeling of the presence of God.
Unfortunately, many people put their trust and faith in man more than they do in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. You won’t get to know Jesus by listening to man all the time. Following Jesus and going through tests and trials will build your faith. There are two parts in the parable of the sower that pertain to people who have heard the word, but do nothing with it.
One other thing I’d like to mention and that would be the rapture theory. This is something that was started back in the 1800′s. I have not found anywhere in the Bible that teaches the rapture. If you believe in the rapture, then please read the article called “The Rapture” which is in the right hand column. Seek the truth in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, not man. Times are going to get tougher, can your faith handle it, are you prepared?
May God Bless You
Where Do We Find Truth?
Where Do We Find Truth? Podcast
Start with Jesus in Searching for the Truth
It’s a shame to see people seeking the truth in man when they should be seeking it in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, bless His heart and soul. The great thing about receiving the truth from the Blessed Trinity is that you experience it and see it.
With man, all you might gain is some knowledge provided whom you are receiving it from knows truth. What it comes down to is, it’s either truth or consequences. When it comes to your salvation you should seek nothing but the truth and pray for the two edged sword of truth. Become a truth seeker.
Find Truth From the Spirit of Truth
How can one discern what’s truth and what’s untruth? John 14: 15-17 tells us that Jesus will ask God on our behalf to give us the Spirit of truth provided we are ready. We can only be ready when we can keep those two commandments. It’s not an overnight trip with Jesus Christ, it’s a long and narrow road and a very laborous one also.
1John and the writings of Paul have an account of this journey. You’ll never learn what this journey is all about unless you travel that road which Jesus has mapped out especially for you. The hard part is getting started.
It’s all up to you, your desire, your willingness and how much suffering are you willing to go through to take this journey. One is going to need to be fearless, which means no doubts or worries, just 100% faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Most people want to take the easy way, the highway to perdition.
Most people think they know truth because they went church, bible studies, read books and received information from sources other than straight from Jesus Christ. That is not the way to find truth. To know Jesus is to have walked with Him. To know God’s word is to know Jesus Christ and to have suffered as He has suffered. He will show you truth.
People have this crazy idea that when Jesus died for the sins of the world that, we don’t have to do anything but accept the fact that He is our Savior and He died on the cross and was resurrected. We have to work for our salvation, it’s not free. You read and study the scriptures, but by not working them is nothing more than vain knowledge. How can you prove the word of God is the truth without works?
Let me give you an example: If I were to take an auto repair manual and read it, does that qualify me enough to go work on that car? Unless I have someone show me what tools and parts I need and shows me how to fix it properly, I shouldn’t work on that car because I don’t know what I’m doing. Now if someone who knows what they’re doing shows me the right way to do it then I will be working what it says to do in the manual.
