God Gave Us Free Will

God gave us free will to chose to love Him or rebel against Him. What it means to rebel against God is to basically give in to our pride and choose the things that are an abomination to God. When we choose our will over God's will we travel on the road to self-destruction that leads us into the darkness, but when we choose God's will we travel on the road that leads us into the Light which is eternal life and true peace which can only be found in God's love.

That just isn’t so. Some like to refer back to the days of Noah and Noah’s Ark, when God flooded the world. Because children had perished in this flood and God did not save them, they say God is a murderer. How can this be? Did not God tell Noah what to do to be spared from the flood? Did not Noah warn the people for many years of a coming flood? All these people did was laugh at him and mock him. These people failed to take heed to his warning. They were acting foolishly out of their own pride. Many of these people had families, yet they chose not to secure the safety of their family. Look at it this way, if you came across someone that was building a huge boat in a place that never gets any rain or maybe very little and this boat was being built far away from the closet body of water, would you think that this guy, Noah was a lunatic or would you think that this guy just might be right? What about when they saw him loading two animals, male and female of different kinds onto this huge ship? So, who’s at fault that even the children perished in the flood? Certainly not God’s. Noah’s ark represented salvation. The people had been warned for years and they chose to be ignorant. Noah could not go around and kidnap all the children and put them on board, they would’ve killed him on the spot. These people had plenty of opportunities to save themselves and their children, but they chose not to. God has been warning people all the way back to Adam and Eve. Some will say that God set them up by putting a forbidden tree in the Garden of Eden and telling them not to partake of this tree. We have to remember that God gave us a “Free Will”, free to chose whatever we want. We have a choice to chose life or death. God does not want to force people to love Him, that wouldn’t be real love. God loves us so much, so why is it so hard to love Him back? Why do we choose the world with it’s temporary happiness and death over life with God? Our pride seems to stop us from receiving the many blessings that God would bestow upon us if only we would love Him. So, how can we not say that God is love? It would be because we are being governed by our pride. Read in the Old Testament about what happened when man fell away from God and God brought curses on them. Did God have a right to do this? Sure He did, after all He gave them the land on which they lived on. He blessed them with prosperity, but man took advantaged of it and became corrupt. It wasn’t like God hadn’t warn them over and over again. Before He gave them a nation, He gave them commandments and laws to live by. You can read about it in Deuteronomy 28 and Leviticus 26, it talks about the blessings and curses that God will bring upon a nation. History always seems to repeat itself when it comes to God and nations. Man seems to think that he doesn’t need God and that man always has a better plan. I guess man proved to God that man’s plan is better. Just look around at how well things are going these days, massive unemployed, a failed economy that is still on the verge of collapsing, over 1.5 million people losing their homes and still climbing, poverty, violence, murder, abortions, rape, sexual perversion, overcrowded prisons, corrupt and confused government, greedy banks and corporations, people with massive debts, diseases, terror without the terrorism (we don’t even have terrorism and look at the stronghold it has over us) and the list goes on and on. Look at all the children that are born with birth defects, that are suffering with cancer and other diseases and I suppose that this is God’s fault? When is man ever going to take the blame and put it upon himself for his actions? Man reaps what he sows. Many people have felt that fear in their hearts, but lose it when they choose or go back to the world. It's a terrible thing to have to be the one who angers God. Our sinful nature causes us to be blind to the wonderful things God is offering us. The main thing is everlasting eternal life.

Sometimes we get that feeling that there is something missing in our life. We feel a void, emptiness inside that can’t be filled by the things of the world or any person’s companionship. Even though we may have many people who love us, a family, friends and others that we may be in contact with from time to time, we still feel lonely inside. We often wonder what it’s all about and what can we do to get rid of that isolated feeling inside of us. Many people feel a love in their hearts for God, but lose it when they choose to go back to the world. For others, they reject the Love that God has towards them, they may even go as far as denouncing God. For those that try to live their life for God one day and the world the next day, they are living as Jesus has said in Revelation about the church of Laodicea. It’s a terrible thing to have to be the one who angers God. Our sinful nature causes us to be blind to the wonderful things God is offering us like, joy, peace, true freedom and happiness. The main thing that He offers us is everlasting eternal life. We need to look inward not outward. Ask Jesus to help you see yourself, so you too can nail your flesh to the cross and be reborn. The flesh is corrupt and it corrupts our mind, our heart and our soul. Which leaves us disconnected from God. Jesus will help us overcome our flesh and the bondage of the world. We just have to humble ourselves, have the desire to give our will over to God, be willing to accept the life that He has laid out for us, learn to love one another and be uncontaminated from the world. Jesus can fill that void that we feel inside of us, the one that we can’t fill ourselves even though we try to over and over again with the things of the world. That is why man has to constantly seek out new things that will temporarily bring him/her happiness. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and Life. Imagine being truly free from all the things of the world and living in a peace that the world or man can never bring you. For those that don’t believe in God or do not serve Him, the “fear of God” is to be afraid of His wrath. For those that believe in God and try hard to be righteous in His eyes, the “fear of God” means to have reverence for God. Mark 9: 23 Jesus says, ‘Everything is possible for anyone who has faith.’ Mark 10: 27 Jesus says, ‘For all things are possible with God.’ Worry, fear and doubt: What good can possibly come from these? Yet, we live with them everyday. Do you know that these can damage your mind, body, soul and strength? Do you know that it stops your walk with the Lord? Do you know that as long as worry, fear and doubt exists in your life you cannot be connected to God (you either trust Him or you don’t)? People have worries fears and doubts about a lot of things: their job, terrorism, death, identity theft, car theft, weather related items, health, etc., etc. The thing is if there is something to worry about or fear or doubt, people will be living it. Is this how God wants you to live your life? Of course not. Satan does though, look around you and inside you. Is your soul corrupted by this darkness? When you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior did you not put your life into His hands? If you did, then what are worrying about, what do you fear, and why do you doubt? This is Satan’s world, and he wants you to live in his darkness. Look at the news for instance, we always see bad things on the news, rarely do they show good things, Why? Because they only want bring you down and let you see Satans’ world not Gods. It’s all about darkness and these are just some of the rotten fruits that are constantly being born. It’s sad that people dwell in this realm, a realm of misery. Why doesn’t someone have a news show that shows nothing but the good things that happen everyday? Probably because nobody would watch it or sponsor it. Everything we do affects other people around us. Most of the time we are not even aware of it or just don’t realize it. The way we effect people is by our way of thinking, the things we say and how we act towards others. We send out positive or negative vibrations. These vibrations touch others in ways we see and don’t see. It’s one way of how love and hate work. Take for example when you smile at someone, if they accept your smile they’ll smile back and both of you feel the warmth of that smile. Now if someone was to be grumpy towards you, you could accept that bad vibe and be grumpy back or you could block it and overcome it with a smile and a prayer for them. Worries fears and doubts have a negative impact on your life and others. Fear will cause depression fueled by worry. Happiness and joy cannot exist in this realm. God is all about Hope, Faith and Love. Matthew 11: 28-30, Jesus said, ‘Come to Me, all you who labor and are over burdened, and I will give you rest. Shoulder my yoke and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Yes My yoke is easy and My burden light.’ In this scripture does Jesus tell us to worry or have fear? Does he tell us to doubt God? No, He tells us to come to Him. Why? Because we are overburdened by the way of the world. Our baggage is full of negative vibrations (darkness). So, if we truly accepted Jesus into our hearts then why do these things exists? It seems that we started out with faith, did we lose it? Jesus’ burden is LIGHT. All positive, wonderful vibrations of light, and this light is love. The one thing we need to understand is that it’s one or the other: you believe in the Lord or you don’t. You can’t have faith one minute and worries, fears, or doubts the next minute. Jesus says in Matthew 7: 24-27 ‘Everyone who listens to these words of Mine and ACTS on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on rock.
