I believe that God never intended for us to have a government. God warns the Jews back in the day of Samuel.

Read this that is taken from 1 Samuel 8: 1 – 20.

When Samuel grew old, he appointed his two sons as judges over Israel. The name of the firstborn was Joel, that of the younger Abijah; they were judges in Beersheba. But his sons did not follow his ways; they wanted money, taking bribes and perverting justice.

Then all the Elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah. Look, they said to him,’you are old, and your sons do not follow your ways. So give us a king to rule over us, like the other nations’.

It displeased Samuel that they should say,’let us have a king to rule us’ , so he prayed to God. But god said to Samuel, ‘Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for it is not you they have rejected; they have rejected me from ruling over them.

All they have done to me from the day I brought them out of Egypt until now, they deserted me and served other gods, they are doing now to you. Well then, obey their voice; only, you must warn them solemnly and instruct them in the rights of the king who is to reign over them.

The disadvantages of the monarchy

All that God had said Samuel repeated to the people who were asking him for a king. He said,’these will be of rights of the king who is to reign over you. He will take your sons and assign them to his chariotry and calvary, and they will run in front of his chariot. He will use them as leaders of a thousand and leaders of fifty; he will make them plough his ploughland and harvest his harvest and make his weapons of war and the gear for his chariots.

You will also take your daughters as perfumers, cooks and bakers. He will then take the best of your fields, of your vineyards and olive groves and give them to his officials. He will take the best of your man servants and maid servants, of your cattle and your donkeys and make them work for him. He will tithe your flocks and you yourselves will become his slaves. When that day comes, you will cry out on account of the king you have chosen for yourselves, but on that day god will not answer you.

The people refused to listen to the words of Samuel. They said,’No! We want a king’, so that we in our turn can be like the other nations; our king shall rule us and be our leader and fight our battles.’

God couldn't be any clearer than this. Look at what's happening in the U.S. What do you think?

I know that as this country sinks in its morals, its family structure, debt, taxing the people to death (which is bad for the country and the economy), bad administration, terrorism and terror that isn't even there, loss of self-sufficientcy and a bad economy, that God has left this nation for us to deal with. God is pretty much telling us that we can't do it without Him and I believe that. History repeats itself, just read the Old Testament. What's happening to us is no different than what happened to them and the Roman Empire. We are heading for destruction and it's coming sooner that you think.

Man always wants to do things his way without any regards to God at all. God blessed this nation once. It's a good thing that God is being patient with us and England as well. I know that both these nations are suffering God's curses. God is warning us to turn back to Him. Man causes his own woes, it's not God's fault that we choose darkness and destruction over peace, protection, prosperity and true freedom. Without God, we don't have a leg to stand on and all I have to say is God warned us, Good Luck U.S. and England.
