It is a cold, dark and sometimes lonely place and it is called “Despair”. It’s a negative feeling of hopelessness, one that can cause us to think and/or behave irrationally. It can wreck havoc on our well-being and our emotional state. Being in despair can be caused by many different reasons or causes like: Having lost a job and not being able to find one which can lead to negative thoughts of losing one’s home and thinking about living on the streets. It can get worse if a person or a couple have children to feed, clothe and shelter. Not being able to pay your bills which can lead to repossession of furniture or a vehicle. A family member or someone you love dearly has fallen ill or has been in a terrible accident where their outcome looks grim. You could lose hope that they may not recover. You may have also received bad news about about a health condition that may be of serious concern. You could be overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of today’s world. Not enough time to accomplish the many demands that daily life is throwing at you which leaves you with no time to relax. These things can deprive you of sleep, cause stress and possible medical issues. There are many more reasons or causes that could make us become a victim of despair. The economy, our government, politicians, world events, local events, our children, marriage, and so on, but when you come right down to it, negative emotions like, worries, fears and depression are usually what puts us into despair. Being in despair can be a dangerous place. By reaching the point of desperation, we can become a totally different person than we would normally be. We could lose our mind in such a way that we will no longer be thinking rationally. Our thought process changes to where our judgment between right and wrong can become distorted. People have lost all hope in the normal way of life where they have chosen to commit crimes like, burglary, armed robbery, embezzlement, theft, and/or shoplifting. When times look tough and we lose hope and become desperate, our survival mode kicks in. How we chose to address our situation is something that we need to prepare ourselves for so that we don’t end up like others have. For instance, there have been people who wiped out their entire family, committed suicide or even both. Falling into depression because of despair can cause some people to do these things and the main problem about it is that we cannot be sure if we will fall victim to this dark state or can we? Prepare For Hardships We must prepare our selves for the worst possible scenario that can happen to us. The way to do this is to build up our faith in God. Jesus can help us by showing us the way. He will teach us all we need to know about how to deal with the many different types of darkness’s that can plague us. He will help us to grow strong spiritually so that we can stand strong and have our faith secured in God knowing that He will always be there for us. You have to ask yourself some questions like, “If the bottom dropped out from under you, what would you do?” “Would you fall apart?” “Could you handle losing your house, or your job?” If you are a believer in God, “Is your faith strong enough to handle any hardship, test or trial.” Reaching the point of desperation doesn’t have to happen to us. We only need to prepare ourselves and trust God that He will be there for us. Grow close to God and believe that He will be there for you! God Bless You. Our heart needs to be heavy and contrite where we feel the burden of our sins. We must acknowledge our sins by looking inward. It is not easy for us to look at our selves and do a complete evaluation of our defects. You may ask, “What are the sins that we need to repent?” The sins that keep us in the dark, away from the light. The sins that obscure our mind to what is right. The sins that deceive us and cause us to feel empty and lonely inside. The ones that keep our carnal self dominate over our soul. The sins that keep the Holy Spirit from being with us forever. We also have to be able to forgive others in order to be forgiven. This includes anything that another person does to us or what they may say about us that appears to be mean, inconsiderate, inappropriate or does harm to us. A good thing to do that helps with this is to make amends to others that you may have harmed. If you carry any resentments with you, forgive them and let it go. No one wants to think or see them self as an evil or wicked person, that it why it is so hard for us to acknowledge our sins. Jesus is there to help us through this. He will guide us in a way that will help us to recognize what is right and what is wrong in the eyes of God. In the eyes of God, sin is an act of disobedience towards Him, it keeps us disconnected from Him. Jesus can help us to change what needs to be changed so that we can be righteous in the eyes of God and be with Him forever. Jesus is here to help us. He can show us how to change our thought process, how to modify our behavior and how to deal with our environment (people, places and things) and the world. We can’t find peace, happiness and freedom that will last forever in the world, it’s impossible. The only things that the world has to offer are temporary, except death, that is permenant and it may include spiritual death. Happy the man that is in the first resurrection. You can experience what true peace, freedom and happiness is all about if you would call on Jesus Christ and follow Him. Build that one on one relationship with Him and let Him fill that void of emptiness and take away your lonliness. He’s waiting for you! God mentions a spirit in Genesis 1:2, ‘Now the earth was a formless void, there was darkness over the deep, and God’s spirit hovered over the water.’ Spiritual beings known as “angels” are mentioned in Genesis 3:24, ‘He (God) banished the man, and in front of the garden of Eden He posted the cherubs (angel of the second highest order of the ninefold celestial hierarchy), and the flame of a flashing sword, to guard the way to the tree of life.’ There are many accounts of people, especially children that have seen angels including myself. One night I was lying in bed and after I had finished praying to God, I rolled over on my side to go to sleep. Before I could close my eyes, God’s presence appeared to me in the form of a spirit. The spirit was wearing a light blue robe with His arm stretched out, His hand open with His palm facing upward. On His hand was a cloud and on the cloud stood an angel. The angel turned her head, looked at me and smiled. So, I smiled back and off they went. I said, “Thank you God.” That was awesome that God would do that for me. There is a well known spirit that is called the Holy Ghost or the Holy Spirit. One night I was laying in bed and I had just finished reading for the night. The light on my end table was on when out of nowhere, a spirit appeared to me. He was an impressive spirit, full of flames of fire that were flat and at the one end they came to a point. They were laid out like scales on a fish. The Holy Spirit was also in a bodily form. He was only about three feet away from me, hovering above the floor, and looking right at me. All I could do was lay there and observe this beautiful spirit in amazement. It wasn’t until about three months later after some hard researching that I discovered that this was the Holy Spirit. I had known that the Holy Spirit was in my soul because I can feel him at times. This is one scripture that I had found that explained it to me, John 14:15-17, ‘If you love me you will keep my commandments. I (Jesus) shall ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever, that Spirit of Truth whom the world can never receive since it neither “sees” nor knows Him; but you know Him, because He is with you, He is in you.’ He’s been with me for at least nine years now. Both of these scriptures have many witnesses: Luke 3:21,22, ‘Now when all the people had been baptized and while Jesus after His own baptism was at prayer, heaven opened and the Holy Spirit descended on Him in bodily shape, like a dove.’ Acts 2:1-4, ‘When Pentecost day came around, they had all met in one room (Peter the apostle was one), when suddenly they heard what sounded like a powerful wind from heaven, the noise of which filled the entire house in which they were sitting; and something appeared to them that seemed like tongues of fire; these separated and came to rest on the head of each of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit.” I know that the Holy Spirit is a true, live spirit because He resides in my soul, He comforts me in my sufferings and He teaches me truth and helps me to discern what is truth. He is also our connection to God. There are many written accounts from others such as, John of the cross, Theresa of Avila, Thomas Merton, Saint Augustine, Saint Ignatius, John Cassian and many others who have spoken of the same thing. Spirits or ghosts are for real, they can be pure, clean spirits or dark, evil spirits, but there are many people who don’t believe in God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the bible, ghosts or spirits and angels. They all have different roles and some are more powerful than others. If a person is strong enough to overcome one of the demons, the demon may go out to gather others and come back for another attack. Acts 19:11-19, ‘So remarkable were the miracles worked by God at Paul’s hands that handkerchiefs or aprons which had touched him were taken to the sick, and they were cured of their illnesses, and the evil spirits came out of them. But some itinerant Jewish exorcists tried pronouncing the name of the Lord Jesus over people who were possessed by evil spirits; they used to say, ‘I command you by the Jesus whose spokesman is Paul’. Among those who did this were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest. The evil spirit replied, ‘Jesus I recognize, and I know who Paul is, but who are you?’ and the man with the evil spirit hurled himself at them and overpowered first one and then the another, and handled them so violently that they fled from that house naked and badly mauled. Everybody in Ephesus, both Jews and Greeks, heard about this episode; they were all greatly impressed, and the name of the Lord Jesus came to be held in great honor. Some believers, too, came forward to admit in detail how they had used spells and a number of them who had practised magic collected their books and made a bonfire of them in public. The value of these was calculated to be fifty thousand silver pieces.’ In the region beyond Ephesus magical practices were flourishing in the mid first century CE as evidenced by archaeological remains and (near) contemporary records. Those Archaeological remains include magic table, instruments and amulets from Pergamum and additional amulets from Smyrna. Contemporary records include several magical inscriptions found on papyri and pottery fragments (C. E. Arnold, Ephesians: Power and Magic. The Concept of Power in Ephesians in Light of Its Historical Setting (Grand Rapids: Baker, 1992) I had an encounter with three demons one time. In my case, I had reached a point in my spiritual growth that by the grace of God, and the strength that He had given me, I became under attack by three very powerful demons. At the time, I wasn’t aware that there were three of them, I just knew that whatever it was, it was trying to get me to fall, to lose my spirituality as they had done to others in the past. This battle went on for a year and a half. I didn’t think that it was ever going to end. Then one night as I was laying in bed contemplating on God, three demons came through the door and right up to my face. They were pale in color, they had black oval eyes, a huge mouth and they had long pointed teeth that overlapped each other. They kept coming up to my face snapping their teeth at me. I showed them no fear, quite frankly, they didn’t bother me at all because I knew that I was under the protection of God. After a few minutes, they took off and I have never seen them again. I continued praying to God and also wondering what that was all about. A few months later, the Holy Spirit wanted me to study the Book of Revelation. When I came to this one scripture, it just blew me away. They will say things like, “Prove it.” or “Since it was written by many different people it couldn’t possibly be true.” Gods Word is true and the Bible is true, you can prove it. People do have their doubts and it’s understandable why they do. The Word of God does seem to be obscure to all who first try to read and understand what it is trying to say. First of all, you’ll never understand what the Bible is truely saying unless you believe in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. It takes faith in them and the willingness to do God’s Will and accept Jesus Christ. Let me give you an example: Say that you never opened the hood of a car and know absolutely nothing about one. If I gave you a Chilton manuel (a manuel that explains everything about a certain make and model vehicle) with no pictures and told you to read it, do you think that you would know what it is talking about? No, because you wouldn’t know what the functions and purpose is of each part that it describes and so much other information that is contained in one of those manuels. Even if you read the manuel and opened up the hood of that vehicle, you probably wouldn’t even know what you were looking at. This is the same way the Bible works. You just can’t open it up and expect to understand everything that it is saying. If you stood there with a mechanic and let the mechanic tear down the whole engine of a car, explained to you the purpose and function of each part and put it all back together then you went and read the manuel, you would be able to understand everything that it says in that manuel. This is the way to understand the Bible. If you build a one on one relationship with Jesus Christ, He will take you on a journey and teach you truth. You will experience what the scriptures in the Bible are all about and even deeper meanings that are hidden. You will have already proven them to be truth before you read about it. It takes work, nobody is going to hand you the meanings of the Bible on a silver platter and say, “This is it.” You may not believe them anyway because you will want proof. It’s so much easier to say, “Prove it” and walk away then it is to prove it for yourself. If you want Truth, you are going to have to seek it. Just as Jesus says, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.” Gods Word will always prove to be true. These two nations, the United States and England are sick like a disease and there is only one cure for this disease, God. Whether the people turn back to God or God punishes these nations is a choice the people have to make. Unfortunately, how much punishment, how much destruction, how much pain and suffering does it take before people turn towards God? Our biggest enemy begins with ourselves and Jesus Christ can teach us how to know thy enemy. Isaiah 1:2,3, – Listen, you heavens; earth, attend for God is speaking, ‘I reared sons, I brought them up, but they have rebelled against me. The ox knows its owner and the ass its master’s crib, Israel (The United States and England) knows nothing, my people understands nothing.’ God brought these nations up and blessed them with prosperity, the world feared these nations, God gave them protection from their enemies. Their harvest was overflowing the silos. Their people enjoyed the prosperity that came from God’s blessings. They were God fearing nations that had the insight to know thy enemy inwhich they could keep at bay because of their spiritual and moral standards. Isaiah 1:4-6, Woe to the sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a wicked seed, ungracious children: they have forsaken the Lord, they have blasphemed the Holy One of Israel, they are gone away backwards. For what shall I strike you anymore, you that increase transgression? The whole head is sick, and the whole heart is sad. From the sole of the foot unto the top of the head, there is no soundness therein: wounds and bruises and swelling sores: they are not bound up, nor dressed, nor fomented with oil. As time goes on the seed gets more and more wicked. The children of this generation and past generations show no gratitiude towards God for the prosperity and freedom that He blessed these nations with. They abused these blessings by self-indulgence. Their hearts are full of materialism, debt, selfishness and greed. There are those that do love God and they try hard to be righteous in His eyes. But, as the scripture says, “These nations knows nothing, my people understands nothing.” This is why we need Jesus Christ to teach us how to know thy enemy. Isaiah 1:7, Your land is desolate, your cities are burnt with fire: your country strangers devour before your face, and it shall be desolate as when wasted by enemies. These two nations are heading for destruction, they will be overcome by their enemies. Take the United States for instance, right now it is no longer the self-sufficient nation that it once was. Much of everything that it once produced, mined and manufactured are imported like, steel, minerals, appliances, electronics and so on. Many of the jobs are outsourced to foreign countries, the country is in debt, the banks are in debt, industry and corporations are in debt and so are the banks. This is one way how our enemies are destroying this nation and England. What are the enemies? Sin, rebellion against God. God is patient with these nations by showing them signs, but the people are blind to them. We are going to see a drastic change in how the world operates, it will leave the United States and England behind. God is compassionate towards us because He knows what we are up against. He is patient with us. He is slow to anger because of His compassion and love for us. He corrects us like a good parent corrects their children, with love. God is either going to discipline us or punish us. Discipline or Punishment Discipline is when one receives it with joy and corrects themself, but punishment is for those that continue to reject what is righteous, they continue to rebel against God and not accept the mercy of God. It’s hard to live without the Grace of God. Man is easily influenced by the things of the world because of all that it offers. God gave us instructions on how to live so that we can escape from being corrupted, from being slaves to the worldly things. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to teach us and show us the Way back to God so that we will not die, but have everlasting eternal life. So many want what this world has to offer and reject what God is offering. The world can only offer things that are temporary, but what God offers will last for eternity. Do we not seek happiness in our lives and happiness for our children? God can provide joy and happiness that will be with you permantly, forever. You don’t have to wait till you die to receive this happiness, you can acquire it here. What we do here is going to have a huge impact on what happens on judgment day. Love God with all you have and accept His discplines and corrections, learn from them. Love one another as God loves you. Be thankful for the Grace of God. For many, they do believe that there is a God. They have found out that God does exist by faith. They have proven some of the promises that God has presented to man. Many have received countless blessings from God because of their hope, faith, and trust in God. All man has to do is love God back in order to receive His blessings. Some have found God through His blessed Son, Jesus Christ. They have found that the only back to God is through Jesus as it is written in the scriptures, the Word of God. John 14:6, ‘ Jesus said, ‘I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one can come to the Father except through me.’ By accepting Jesus, you accept God and you find out that God is real. Some people don’t believe the existence of God, they may believe in evolution, or when their life is done here then that is it, it may be more convenient for them not to believe because then they are not bound to do something that they don’t want to. They may fear knowing the truth, or not enough evidence to believe, or some religions or cults don’t support a god, but whatever the case may be, people should try and seek the truth. Being closed minded, or trusting in man will get you nowhere. We take believing in our own mind and whatever someone else says for granted too much. We need to take responsibility and do some research for ourselves. It’s not that hard to investigate what is truth and what is not. It can take a lot of work on our part in pursuing truth, but the reward in the end is always worth it. Is there a God? There has to be in order for us to know the difference between right and wrong. It’s something that is embedded in us from the time we are born. Our mind is always telling us when not to do something because it isn’t right, yet some override what is right and do wrong anyway. Would you trust someone that comes along and says, ” Hey, I have a money making deal for you. Just give $2000.00 and I’ll make you rich.” Would you hand over $2000.00 to someone that makes a claim like that? You probably wouldn’t, but if it got your attention, you would definitely look into the matter to see if it is a scam or not. The same goes for God and Jesus, they want you to seek them out, do some investigating and research, work what they have taught to see if you can prove that what they say is truth. It is so much easier to write something off, say that God doesn’t exist and walk away then it is to prove that He does, but in actuality, it’s not that hard to prove that God does exist. So, is there a God? Does God exist? Can we find out if God is real? What about the existence of God? All these questions can easily be answered if you open your mind and have a little faith. Many have tried to prove that God doesn’t exist and couldn’t do it. So, this is what I have to say to those that don’t believe in God, “Try and prove that He doesn’t exist”. Call on Jesus Christ and He will lead you to God and God will reveal Himself to you. What have you got to lose? Your time? People were kind and respectful, the prisons were nowhere near as full as they are today, and people could go to sleep at night without locking their doors. These two nations were feared by all the other nations of the world, they had great military strength. These two nations had the best of everything, self-sufficiency, a strong economy, family structure, the best education, strong industry, farmlands that produced crops so abundantly, that they could supply the world. These two nations were the envy of the world. So, what happened? We should have never rebelled, then Gods blessings would still be upon us. In Deuteronomy 28:1, 2, God warns His nations of what will be if they become rebellious against Him. He also tells of the many blessings that He will pour out upon these nations that serve Him. All throughout the Old Testament we can see where God has kept His word about His blessings and His curses. Today we can see where God has kept His word again. What the United States and England enjoyed in the past can be read in Deuteronomy 28. God’s word is truth as you will see. ‘If you obey the voice of Yahweh your God faithfully, keeping and observing all those commandments of His that I enjoin on you today, Yahweh your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.’ This is no longer so for these two nations as of today, tomorrow and so on. Why? Because they no longer keep to His commandments. These two nations are a total abomination in the eyes of God. You can look around and see how spirituality is decaying at a rapid pace in these two nations. In Deuteronomy 28:15, God gives this as a warning, ‘But if you do not obey the voice of Yahweh your God nor keep and observe all those commandments and statues of His that I enjoin on you today, then all the curses that follow shall come up with you and overtake you.’ These are the curses that are taking place today: You will be defeated in front of your enemies; you come at them by one way and flee before them by seven. Over the years, how many wars has the United States been in and retreated? How many tests or threats have been made against this country and England without any response because the will of these nations have been broken? Nations have been testing the will of the United States and England without any fear of consequences. Without Gods blessings, these two nations cannot survive. Terror Without The Terrorism Leviticus 26:17, ‘I will turn against you and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Your foes shall have the mastery over you, and you shall take flight when there is no one pursuing you.’ Our foes, the terrorists, all they have to do is sit back and wait. They have already turned on fear in this country. Look at the security measures this country has had to establish. The cost of this is overwhelming, this country cannot afford it. It’s bad enough that this country has to borrow on a monthly basis to keep it running, but this burden does not help any. This country’s economy is so bad it will not last no more than two years before it has a devastating collapse. This country, the banks, major corporations, and Wall Street are going to fall into the worst depression anyone has ever seen. This country cannot keep running on debt. Between the country, the banks, the corporations and the people, there is more debt than there are assets. We are going to see much, much more devastation in this country (and England doesn’t stand a chance either) than you could ever imagine. Be strong, let your heart be bold, all you who hope in God.’ Those that are devout, love God in their own special way. They are sound in faith and know that God will take care of them. They only place their hope in God and nothing else because they know that God will provide for them whatever it is that they need. They have proved their faith in God because they have works to show for it. Without works, how can one say that they have faith? Faith is the substance of things hoped for. When we place our hopes in God, we are looking to God to help us whether it’s to get us through some tough times, or heartaches from a trauma, or our salvation. What makes our hearts strong is when our hopes are backed up with trust in God. When we worry that something isn’t going to work out or project the worst because of fear, then we weaken our hearts, our hopes and our faith. Getting rid of these negative thoughts and feelings isn’t easy at times, but this is where we need to be bold and look for a positive outcome. We can do this by changing the way we think and projecting a more positive outcome and asking God to show us His glory. He wants to prove to you that He loves you by showing you that He can get you through your troubled times. Being negative only causes us misery and stress, it also crushes our hopes and faith. Arrogance comes from pride, and there are many arrogant people out there who want to nothing but try to hurt those that believe in God. They are closed minded and have no foundation what soever. They can’t prove what they say, all they want to do is put people down, get into arguements and disagree with anything anyone else has to say. They do not know how to be rational or think in a rational way. Their foundation is built on pride which is like building a house on sand. Also there are people who are believers and they can be arrogant as well. Including what was previously written, they try to force their beliefs onto others and bash other people’s religions and beliefs. This is no way to get a message across. Don’t get hostile when you want to defend yourself or your beliefs. Always listen to what others have to say. If they want to be arrogant, then walk away, don’t waste your time. There will be people who will listen and those that won’t, let them go, it’s probably not their time yet. Religion, just like politics are always going to be touchy subjects to discuss. This is why everyone has their own path to travel. If you follow Jesus, He will lead you to the truth. Let the arrogant travel on their road to perdition, while you travel on the road into the Light. Some people carry around a sense of insecurity all day everyday, only adding to their stress level. This is why we need to find Life in God. If you were offered a way to live without ever having to worry about anything ever again and it won’t cost you a dime, would you jump on it? You might be thinking it is some sort of a scam or that there is a catch, but actually it isn’t and there’s not. You don’t have to pay to have Jesus come into your heart. All you have to do is ask Him. Once you accept Jesus into your heart and begin following Him, you will see that the worldly life and seeking the things of the world are meaningless. Once you start to build up your faith in God and you keep your eyes on God, you will learn truth and begin to understand that God will be there for you as opposed to the world that could care less about you. Find life in God. Things are not going to get easier, they are going to get worse, especially in the United States and England. Both these once God fearing countries turned their backs on God and accepted the immoral behaviors that the world has to offer. Life is short and you only have one time around to escape the perils of death. Death to flesh is inevitable, but spiritual death can be avoided. Find spiritual life by seeking Jesus Christ. Have faith in God and seek His protection through Jesus Christ. Don’t let this passing world get the best of you and drag you down with it, it is not worth it. Don’t you love yourself enough to do the best you can for yourself? Life here is short, but whether you choose life or death for your spirit and soul, it is eternal. These are the ones that could be very well be in danger of being deceived in these end times. It states in Matthew 24:23-25, ‘If anyone says to you then, “Look, here is the Christ”, or, “He is there”, do not believe it; for false Christs and false prophets will arise and produce great signs and portents, enough to deceive even the chosen, if that were possible. There; I have forewarned you.’ If they are powerful enough to come close to deceiving the chosen ones who have been through many tests, trials, hardships and spiritual suffering to build up their faith and strength in God, then let this be a warning for you to have a good, hard look at your faith. It’s going to take a tremendous amount of faith to get through these end times. Look at the millions who were deceived by one single man over the years, how about Hitler for one, a powerful man who brought death and destruction to many and in the end, to his own countrymen. People had a lot of hope in that man. This is the sort of thing that can happen when you take your eyes off God and put them on man. We have a man in office right now that was put there by millions of people who did what? They put their hope in man instead of God. It’s incredible how easy it is to deceive mankind. All you have to do is offer them hope. With God, there are no excuses if you get deceived by any man whether they are a preacher, a teacher or whatever. It’s up to YOU to seek the truth, not to sit back and hope that what someone is saying or teaching is truth. Jesus said that, ‘I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.’ He didn’t say anything about man. Pick up your cross and follow Jesus Christ, He will lead you back to God and He will also give you the Spirit of Truth to be with you forever. Without building up your faith in God, you are like building a house on sand, when the waters rise, you will be swept away. May You Find Peace, Happiness and Security in the Blessings of God. With a country and its people so addicted to debt, it’s only a matter of time before the country falls. There is going to be some tough times ahead and there is nothing that anyone can do to stop it. People aren’t willing enough to surrender to God. The people in this country need to wake up. Trust in God not man. What are you going to do when times really get tough? We haven’t seen anything yet, this isn’t even close to what is going to happen in the near future. This country is only holding on by borrowed time. As soon as China, Russia and Germany get themself together they are going to drop the United States and its dollar like a hot potato. What’s going to happen next is inflation is going to skyrocket. The dollar isn’t going to worth the paper it is printed on. Putting hope in the administration in Washington to fix things and turn this country around is like hoping for a million dollar check to come in the mail, it’s not going to happen. Put your hope in God and prove to Him that you believe in Him. Trust in God to protect you and take care of your needs. It’s the only sure hope we have. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Why is it that when man touches something he has to corrupt it and claim it for himself? Was God meant to be incorporated? I really don’t think so, but many others do. Many people believe in Jesus and know that He did exist here on earth. Some believe that He is the Son of God that came here to teach us about God and His kingdom. Jesus never claimed God for Himself, He spoke about a loving God that wants to give everlasting eternal life to us. He spoke of a God that will bless us beyond our imagination and all we have to do is love God back and to love one another. Jesus never spoke about starting different religions, especially ones that go out and kill innocent people in the name of God. Jesus said to “love your enemy”. For those that don’t believe that Jesus is the Son of God, they can’t say that He wasn’t a peaceful, loving man. Jesus was a man who laid down His life for His fellowman and to bring glory to God. What an act of love. There are many writings of His ministry, what He preached about, what He taught, how He lived and how He was executed. It is written that He rose from the dead an ascended to heaven. Then He returned to His disciples to prove that He was the Son of God. He gave His disciples instructions to carry on the message that He preached when He was here. I don’t recall seeing it written that He told them to start different religions, do you? As a matter of fact, James wrote that there is only one true religion in the eyes of God and that is, ‘To love one another and be uncontaminated from the world’. Love one another means to love everyone and help your fellowman, coming to their aid, and to treat them as you would want to be treated. As you well know that no religion is without its flaws. There have been a lot of different religions that have done some evil things, have produced evil people from within and these people have done a lot of damage to their religion. These people not only include the clergy or those that are in charge, but members as well. They claim to believe in God and that their God is the true God, yet they commit evil acts and show their hatred towards their fellowman. James said in chapter 3:6, ‘Among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a whole wicked world in itself.’ If anyone is going to try and convert someone to worship their God, then you would think that they would show others just how wonderful and loving their God is by being kind and showing their love for their fellowman. Be respectful towards your fellowman no matter what they believe, who they worship or how they worship. It’s not important as to what denomination of religion that one belongs to, it’s where their heart is. Smile, be kind to all your fellowmen and show them that the love of God is within you by your kindness and the words that you speak. It all depends on how structurally sound we are in our faith in God. If our faith is weak, we can fall into that darkness of worries, fears and doubts. The reason for the word “darkness” is because any negative action or emotion that can keep us from trusting in God with faith causes us to step out of the light. Hebrews 11:6, ‘Now it is impossible to please God without faith, since anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and rewards those that try to find Him.’ Our faith in God should also include accepting Jesus Christ and the willingness to build a one on one relationship with Him. Jesus is the way back to God, John 14:6, ‘I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father except through me.’ By following Jesus and listening to Him, we can build up our faith which will make us stronger to handle those hardships, tests and trials that come our way. Through these hardships, tests and trials we are not only building up our faith in God, but we are gaining trust in God. By this we are proving to God that we truly believe in Him. We must have good works by faith, otherwise faith is dead. These things help us grow spiritually and they help us in returning back to God. Hope and faith when applied in the right direction will diminish all worries, fears and doubts that we take on when faced with a crisis or hardships. People have the habit of placing their hope in man instead of God. God is infallable, but man isn’t, so why waste your energy placing your hope in man that can’t guarantee positive results? When hardships come our way, we tend to focus on a negative outcome which causes us to worry or fear the worse. We even make up and predict what the outcome is going to be. Why do we do this to ourselves? Prove to God that you trust Him to get you through your hardships by not thinking negatively, but by focusing on positive outcomes.
